Summer Program 2008

The Setting

The Wimpfheimer Nursery School is a laboratory school nestled in the back of the beautiful Vassar College campus. The school has three large play yards, and uses the campus for walks, picnics, sports, and exploration.

The Program

The summer program takes place outdoors in a relaxed and spacious setting. Children explore this natural environment under the guidance of experienced teachers and college students. Our hands-on early childhood curriculum features different themes each week. Children participate in a variety of activities, including art, drama, games, gardening, cooking, storytelling, music, water play, science, & nature walks.

A morning snack is provided. Children in the full day program bring their own lunch and have an additional afternoon snack.

Ages

The program is for children ages 2 years 9 months through kindergarten. Children under age four who are new to the school are eligible to enroll in the full day program in consultation with the Assistant Director.
